Bringing it together
Exercise 6: Your love story
Go back to your love story, spend some time with it, and add anything you need about what you have discovered. Finish the story, for now, and make it the relationship of your dreams.
Now as you look back at your story notice how it was almost already happening in your life, how close you have almost been to having the relationship that you always desired. Notice how what you always wanted in your relationship was so close, it was like you were almost having the relationship of your dreams, but not quite, something was always just a little bit off. Now that you’re clearer about what you want from your life and relationship ask yourself who it is that you are really called to be, and what it is that love wants from you?
Make a note.
So let’s clarify everything. Look to the start of this book, at the intent that you made, what was it that you wanted, what was it you wanted to change, what have you learnt, what realisations have you made that can bring change to your life and relationship?
Make a note
Now, what is it that you want, what is it that needs to change, in you and your relationship, what is it that you are finally ready to commit to so you can have the relationship of your dreams?
Make a note.
Finally
Now you have the foundation of your relationship, the structure and patterns that brought you together. You have the tools for transformation and the awareness to create something new, but ultimately it’s going to be up to you. Now you have to implement all that you know if you want to really create radical change.
It’s going to take persistence and courage because you’re going to fail, but it’s better you fail than do nothing at all. Because with time, practice and commitment things will start to change.
Remember that these exercises are not static, you can go back over them again and again and always get something new, a new part of you, a new realisation, a new you and what you must do.
So keep going, don’t ever stop until you are living your relationship dream, don’t stop until you can honestly say that your relationship is your masterpiece.
Wishing you all the best on your journey of what love wants.
